NUCLEAR SERVICES


As part of Eagle’s in-house capabilities, Eagle’s Nuclear Services Divisions maintains a radiological control staff consisting of highly experienced scientists, managers, waste management specialist, transportation specialists, technical writers, health physicists, and safety professionals. Eagle’s Oak Ridge, Tennessee office is currently performing work at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP; former K25 facility) and the Y-12 National Security Complex. Projects at the above mentioned facilities include removal/fixing, surveying, packaging, shipping of radioactive materials and radioactive sources, and demolition with work being performed in radiation areas, soil contamination areas, airborne contamination areas and other contamination areas. Prior to field activities, Eagle’s staff prepares all documentation required to work in the above mentioned areas and handle radioactive materials including work control packages, waste handling plans, transportation plans, and health and safety plans (including AHAs). Eagle also prepares and executes MARSSIM survey and release plans for radiological facilities. Eagle’s in-house waste management/transportation division prepares 2109 forms, waste profiles and performs field surveillance including manifesting, transportation logs, certification forms, and other packaging and shipping documentation.
